Hey You, Remember How Far You've Come? It's Time to Celebrate Your Journey!

Ditch the Tunnel Vision and Embrace Your Amazing Progress

Listen up, you! Yes, you, the one with the dreams as big as the sky and the determination that could power a rocket to the moon. We need to have a little chat about something that's been going on, and it's time to set the record straight. Brace yourself, as we're going into the deep end of introspection and self-celebration.

Picture this: You're on a roller coaster, not the rickety old wooden kind, but a futuristic one that soars through the clouds, loops upside down, and even offers a virtual reality overlay where you can ride a dragon if you so desire. You've got your hands up in the air, wind whipping through your hair, and you're screaming your lungs out with a mixture of terror and exhilaration.

But wait, hold on a minute. In the midst of all this thrilling chaos, have you ever taken a moment to look back at the track you've already conquered? Of course not! You're too busy worrying about the next twist, the next turn, the next monumental drop that's coming your way. And while all that forward-focused excitement is great, it's time to slap on the brakes and remind yourself of something crucial: You are Forgetting How Far You Have Come.

Now, I can practically see your eyes rolling, and your "Yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before" smirk forming. But hold on a minute, because I’m about to shatter that dismissive attitude and sprinkle some much-needed kick-on-the-backside on your journey of self-reflection.

Life, my adventurous friend, is one heck of a roller coaster. It's filled with ups, downs, and more loops than your favourite roller coaster can boast. But amidst all these flips and turns, you've managed to conquer obstacles that might have seemed impossible at the time.

Remember:

  • That time when you aced that presentation you thought would turn you into a puddle of nervous sweat?
  • Or that time you finally summoned the courage to go on a solo adventure and explore a foreign land?

Yes, those are the victories I’m talking about. I personally look back on my backpacking adventures to India in my 20’s and think, WOW, that was such an accomplishment considering it was my very first trip as an adult on my own to a country I had never travelled to! There were a few things going for me; I was young, a hot babe, sensible as well, spoke Hindi & Punjabi fluently and best of all I knew how to blend in as a local (this took about 3 weeks).

It's all too easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of anticipation for the next milestone. You're so fixated on your upcoming achievements that you overlook the incredible progress you've made thus far. It's like ordering a five-course meal You are forgetting how far you have come FBat a fancy restaurant and getting so engrossed in the dessert menu that you forget to savour each delicious dish that's already graced your taste buds. How rude to the appetizer that gave you that flavour explosion!

So, here's the deal: It's time to shake off the tunnel vision and bask in the glory of your journey. Throw yourself a parade, blow some celebratory confetti, and pop open a metaphorical bottle of champagne. Let's take a stance and give life a clapback: "Hey life, I see you throwing curveballs, but guess what? I've got a bat and I'm ready to hit them out of the park!"

Think about it:

  • You've overcome heartaches that seemed like the end of the world at the time.
  • You've tackled challenges that made your brain feel like it was in a wrestling match with a grizzly bear.
  • You've danced through rainstorms and built bridges over metaphorical crocodile-infested waters.

And guess what? You're still standing!

It's time to embrace that fabulous strut, the one that says, "I've got this." You know that feeling when you're strutting down the street, your favourite Beyonce song playing in your head, and you're feeling like a superstar in 4-inch heels? Yeah, that's the energy we're channeling. Every single step you've taken, every misstep you've gracefully recovered from, they've all contributed to the stunning masterpiece that is your journey.

And let's not forget those small victories that make life sparkle like a disco ball at a '70s dance party.

  • The time you learned to cook a meal that didn't taste like cardboard. Win.
  • The time you finally managed to keep a houseplant alive. Double win.
  • The time you said "no" to something that didn't serve you? Triple win with a confetti cannon!

So, let's raise a toast to you: to the journey that has shaped you, the challenges that have moulded you, and the triumphs that have adorned your path. The road ahead might be filled with more twists, turns, and loop-de-loops than you can imagine, but remember this: you've already conquered so much. The next time life throws you a curveball, catch it with a knowing wink and remind yourself of all the times you've knocked it out of the park.

As you barrel forward on this roller coaster called life, keep your eyes open, your hands in the air, and your heart full of appreciation for the journey you've undertaken. Embrace the triumphs that come with recognizing your own resilience and progress. And when life tries to make you forget how far you've come, give it a brazen retort: "I've come a long way, and I'm just getting started!"

So, here's to you, the brave soul who's tackled challenges, celebrated victories, and continues to navigate this roller coaster with boldness and style. Take a moment to throw some metaphorical confetti, pat yourself on the back, and let the world know that you haven't forgotten how far you've come.
