Living vs. Existing: The Sassy Guide to Embracing Life's Beauty

Today, we're going to talk about something that's way more important than the latest gossip or cat videos on YouTube or Reels. We're diving deep into the art of living, not merely existing.

In this fast-paced, technology-driven world, it's easy to get caught up in the daily grind, mindlessly scrolling through our social feeds, comparing ourselves to others, and trying to be the next productivity guru. But here's the thing, while we're busy stressing about our virtual personas, life is whizzing by faster than your favourite celebrity's latest relationship.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But, Bhupi, how do I even find time for all this living amidst the chaos of modern life?" Well, my fabulous friend, life doesn't magically grant you extra hours in a day, but it sure as hell gives you the chance to make the most of the ones you've got.

First things first, put down that phone! Yes, I'm talking to you, the one with their eyes glued to the screen. I get it; technology is addictive, but if you keep living your life through filters and hashtags, you're going to miss out on the real deal. Take a moment to look up, observe the world around you, and appreciate the beauty that's unfolding right in front of your eyes.

Now, let's talk about priorities. Sure, work and responsibilities are essential, but they're not the only things that matter. It's time to unleash your inner diva and make room for what truly lights up your soul. Is it spending time with your loved ones? Then, carve out time for those family game nights, boozy brunches, or just cuddle sessions with your pet.

Maybe you've got a hidden passion for something artsy-fartsy like painting, dancing, or pottery. Don't be shy! Embrace your artistic side and let it run wild. So, what if you're not the next Picasso? The point is to have fun, create something from the heart, and enjoy the process.

Now, let's address those travel dreams of yours. You know, the ones you keep pushing to "someday" when you have more time or money. Well, here's a reality check: "someday" is not a day of the week! If exploring new places fills your spirit with joy, then start planning that dream trip today, even if it's just a weekend getaway to a nearby town. Memories and experiences are worth more than any material possession, trust me.

Let's not forget the simplest pleasure of all – taking a leisurely stroll outside. Yes, I'm talking about that ancient art called "going for a walk." It's free, it's healthy, and it's an opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with yourself. Take a deep breath of fresh air, feel the sunshine on your skin, and take in the sights and sounds of nature. You might be surprised at how much joy this little activity can bring.

Now, some of you may be thinking, "Well, that all sounds fabulous, but I can't just drop everything and live like a carefree soul." And you know what? You're absolutely right! We all have responsibilities, bills to pay, and commitments to keep. But guess what? You can still infuse your daily existence with sparks of liveliness.

Start by making small changes – maybe wake up fifteen minutes earlier to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee or take a short break during work to stretch and daydream. Look for opportunities to sprinkle bits of joy throughout your day, like Live Your best life FBlistening to your favourite music while doing chores or dancing around your living room like nobody's watching.

Remember, life isn't a race to see who can do the most or have the most. It's about savouring each moment, creating lasting memories, and finding happiness in the little things. So, let's make a pledge to embrace the present, live in the now, and cherish the time we have.

Talking of tech, my son's world came crashing down as it went dark without that magical internet connection for a whole day.. He was texting me like it was a life-or-death situation! Oh, young adults, they can be such drama kings and queens, but hey, at least he managed to figure out what to do with himself. He dusted off that forgotten book from his shelf. Miracles do happen!

Let's talk about my new job, shall we? It's absolutely AMAZING, no doubt about it. But you won't believe what they do to us there. No smart gadgets allowed past the security turnstiles. Can you imagine? They think they can keep us away from our precious tech toys! Ha! They provide us with lockers to stash all our personal belongings. But here's the twist – I don't even miss my phone! Yep, you heard that right. All day, no pings, no buzzing, no distractions. When I get home from work, it's all about cooking, eating, cleaning, together with my son and then doing our own thing. My phone? Oh, it's just chilling somewhere in my handbag, gathering dust like that old book of my son's.

It's been a revelation. Turns out, life is pretty darn good without being glued to that little rectangular devil. I don't run to it every time it pings ‘cause I'm used to not having it on me all the time. I can even take the dog out for a walk without that digital leash around my neck. Gasp! The horror, right?

Of course, I'm not a total hermit. I do answer the darn thing when it dares to ring in the evening or the weekend. But during the day, oh no, it can leave a message and wait for its turn. Mama's got stuff to do, and she's not gonna be a slave to her phone anymore.

So there you have it – a day without WiFi and a job that tries to confiscate our beloved gadgets, and guess what? Life's still kickin'. In fact, it might just be a little better without all that tech-induced drama. Now excuse me while I go back to enjoying the real world and living my fabulous life! Voicemail can handle the rest. Just joking, lets chat some more!

In conclusion, my fabulous friend, life is too short to merely exist. It's time to start living in full colour, embracing the richness of experiences, and laughing in the face of monotony. So, go ahead and seize the day, because you've got the power to turn every moment into something extraordinary. Let's paint the town red with the brushstrokes of joy and fabulous adventures!

Now, go forth, and live your best lives! The world is your runway, and you're going to rock it like the fabulous superstar you are. Remember, you're not just existing; you're living, and that, is the true essence of being alive. Cheers to a life well-lived, sprinkled with fun, and bursting with unforgettable moments!
